Collective Soul
Mayo Performing Arts Center - Morristown, NJ - 4.7.2026
There are certain songs by certain bands that resonate throughout the years. Collective Soul is one of those bands that created the songs that still resonate today and throughout their 30+ year career. Their music provides uplift and introspection blending an alternative rock, hard rock, post-grunge sound which puts you in a relatable place.
The Collective Soul tour stopped at the MPAC in Morristown, NJ and performed for a crowded house. An American Rock band formed in 1992 and hailing originally from Georgia, Collective Soul consists of brothers Ed Roland (lead vocals, guitar) and Dean Roland (rhythm guitar), Will Turpin (bass, backing vocals), Johnny Rabb (drums, backing vocals) and Jesse Triplett (lead guitar, backing vocals). Collective Soul's 13th studio album, Touch and Go, was announced in early 2026. It was given a release date of April 18, 2026 (Record Store Day).
Musical highlights of the night included notable hits "Shine," "Where the River Flows", "December," and "The World I Know". Ed Roland's vocals aren't flashy or over done. They are steady, reflective and sincere. There were many warm moments shared between the band (fist bumps, hair rustling between brothers, smiles and laughs) and a special moment between Ed and a fan where Ed exchanged his hat for the fan's baseball hat.

The band consists of Alan Price (lead vocals, guitar), Thomas O'Brien (drums), Josh Mitchum (lead guitar, vocals) and Jonathan Holt (bass).
