Incubus
Morning View + The Hits Tour with Manchester Orchestra and Paris Jackson
Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - Salt Lake City, UT - 7.12.2025
On Saturday night, Incubus brought their Morning View 2025 Tour to the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre, offering a set that was equal parts immersive, nostalgic, and emotionally resonant.
With a nearly two-hour performance, the band reminded Salt Lake City why their fusion of alt-rock, psychedelia, and melodic introspection continues to strike a chord more than two decades after Morning View was first released.
Incubus performed Morning View in its entirety, flowing naturally through standouts like “Nice to Know You,” “Circles,” “Mexico,” and “Warning.”
Brandon Boyd’s vocals carried both grit and grace throughout the album’s journey of emotions and depth. Whether whispering the delicate lines of “Just a Phase” or belting the chorus of “Wish You Were Here,” he maintained the balance between technical skill and vulnerability that fans have come to expect.
The stage setup held space for a sense of intimacy, despite the sizable venue. It felt as though the band trusted the material and the audience's energy to fill the space where other performers may feel the need to embellish a stage with an abundance of theatrics and decor.
Following the full Morning View run-through, the band returned to the stage for an encore packed with fan favorites such as “Anna Molly,” "Drive," and "Pardon Me."
There was a noticeable shift in crowd energy during the encore; many fans had quietly absorbed the album set with reverence, but once the early 2000s hits arrived, they were on their feet, belting every word.
The choice to dedicate the first half of the night to Morning View and save the heavier rock singles for last, allowed the show to build in both energy and emotional weight. It served as a reminder that Incubus has always been more than just a band with hits. They’re a musical legend that rewards patience and close listening.
This performance wasn’t just a nostalgia trip, but rather it was a carefully crafted live experience that honored the artistry of Morning View while still giving space for some of the band’s bigger, bolder moments. Incubus didn’t just revisit the past; they reframed it, reminding Salt Lake City that vulnerability, mood, and melody can still hit as hard as distortion and speed. Whether you were there to relive the early 2000s or experience these songs live for the first time, Incubus delivered a night worth remembering.
