Jovi’s Journey and The Launch Bring Arena Rock Energy to The Landis Theater
It was all about nostalgia, powerhouse vocals, and feel-good rock ’n’ roll last night as Jovi’s Journey and The Launch turned the historic Landis Theater into a time machine for fans of classic rock anthems.
Both bands delivered the passion and authenticity of the original bands to a packed house in Vineland, NJ.
The Launch kicked off the night with a burst of classic rock energy, diving straight into a set packed with hits from Queen, Styx, and Boston. From the opening riff of “Rock & Roll Band” to the soaring finale of “Somebody to Love”, and throughout their 13-song set, the band had the crowd of nearly 250 on their feet—singing, dancing, and fully locked into the moment.
From there, Jovi’s Journey took the stage and kept the energy rolling. For tonight’s performance, the band leaned heavier into the Journey catalog, a move that was more fitting for this crowd. Still, they made sure to pay homage true to their namesake with a few Bon Jovi essentials, including “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “You Give Love a Bad Name,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive”.
For fans of timeless rock anthems and powerhouse performances, this was one of those nights that reminded everyone why live music still hits the hardest when it’s loud, heartfelt, and played with soul.
The Landis Theater, in Vineland, NJ, had its grand opening in March of 1937. Originally, an Art Deco style movie theater, the Landis Theater also showcased many Vaudeville acts including Abbott and Costello. In 1987, after many years serving the Vineland community, the Theater closed its doors.
In 2010, The Landis was renovated by the Vineland Redevelopment Group. The historic gem was given life again and restored to a beautiful venue.
