Unforgettable Fire Ignites the Stage at Broken Goblet Brewery

For three decades, Unforgettable Fire, the world’s longest-running U2 tribute band, has captivated audiences with their faithful renditions and electrifying stage presence. Over the weekend, they brought that same passion and precision to Broken Goblet Brewery, delivering a performance that reminded fans exactly why U2’s music continues to resonate across generations.

The band wasted no time kicking things off with a high-energy first set that dove deep into U2’s catalog. “Discotheque”, rarely performed live, opened the show with a burst of groove and attitude, followed by “Even Better Than the Real Thing” and “In God’s Country.”

From there, the energy kept building: “Trip Through Your Wires” and “Mysterious Ways” brought out the band’s bluesy and funky sides, while “Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses” and “Desire” added emotion and swagger.

The first set closed on an epic run of U2 favorites: “One,” “Until the End of the World,” and a powerful “With or Without You” that had the crowd singing in unison.

Set two opened with “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “New Year’s Day,” two songs that perfectly capture U2’s early-era fire and political edge. The momentum kept rolling through “Pride (In the Name of Love)” and, to the surprise of the audience: “Two Hearts Beat as One.”

The band then slowed things down for the emotional “Bad” and “Running to Stand Still,” moments that reminded everyone of U2’s ability to find beauty in melancholy.

The home stretch was pure celebration, “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “The Electric Co.” had the entire venue moving.

As fans thought the night was over, the unmistakable riff of “Vertigo” sent the crowd into a frenzy, followed by a euphoric “Beautiful Day.”

After a brief pause, Unforgettable Fire returned for a well-earned encore, closing the night with “Elevation” and “I Will Follow”, a nod to U2’s early days and the band’s enduring legacy.

By the time the final notes faded, the Broken Goblet crowd was on its feet, cheering for more.

Thirty years in, Unforgettable Fire continues to prove they’re more than just a tribute act, they’re true torchbearers of U2’s sound and soul, keeping the music alive for new generations of fans.
