Styx

With Kevin Cronin Band and Don Felder

PNC Bank Arts Center - Holmdel, NJ - 7.20.2025

Legendary band Styx brought The Brotherhood of Rock Tour to Holmdel, NJ on a hot and steamy night and it did not disappoint! With support from the Kevin Cronin Band (REO Speedwagon) and Don Felder (Eagles) we all "Sailed Away" into a night of cohesive nostalgia celebrating both legacy and new.

Legendary guitarist for the Eagles, Don Felder, opened the show with "Already Gone" performing a 10-song set with more classics "One of These Nights", "The Long Run", "Seven Bridges Road", "Take It Easy", "Heartache Tonight", "Life in the Fast Lane" and many more. Felder closed the set with "Hotel California" to a uniform lyrical chant by the crowd singing every word while Felder played his trademark double-neck guitar. At 77, Felder's vocals hit the mark crafting the perfect opening performance for the show.

Hitting the stage next after Felder was Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon and his band who is now touring under his own name post-REO retirement. The band lineup mirrored REO’s final configuration. Performing the album "Hi Infidelity" in it's entirety, Cronin showed that from start to finish, opening with “Don’t Let Him Go” and performing other fan favorites like “Keep On Loving You”, “Take It On the Run”, “Time for Me to Fly” and an encore performance of "Can't Fight This Feeling" these songs should still be on the top of the charts. Cronin proved that the spirit of REO Speedwagon lives on.

Multi-platinum artists, Styx, who created over five decades of era-defining classics finally took the stage showcasing their classic rock mastery making for an unforgettable night for this Brotherhood of Rock tour. Performing the full-album "The Grand Illusion" and blending of their mega-hits (with some new tracks) made for an unforgettable night of enduring anthems, irresistible melodies and a phenomenal performance. Rock grandeur at it's best! The soundtrack of many generations included performance of timeless Styx hits and iconic classics such as "Come Sail Away", "Lady", "The Best of Times", "Mr. Roboto", "Blue Collar Man", "Too Much Time on My Hands", "Renegade" and so many more.

The legendary sound still delivered. The staging, lighting, visuals and harmonies were top notch. Styx definitely delivered a spectacular performance for longtime fans and the next generation and beyond. The Brotherhood of Rock Tour celebrates nostalgia, but also the enduring power of rock performed by multi-talented artists delivering skillfully on every level theatrically, musically and emotionally. Vocals, stagecraft and musicianship show these artists still command hearts and stages across generations of fans.
